What is Google AdWords
Google AdWords are the sponsored links you view on the right hand side on the Google website when you search for websites of interest. Google AdWords works on a "pay-per-click" basis.
What does this mean? It means your ads appear in the sponsored listings free of charge when someone types in keywords related to your website. You are only charged when a customer clicks on your ad to visit your website.
With Google AdWords you create your own ads, choose keywords to help match your ads to your target audience, and only pay when someone clicks on them.

What does it cost?
- There is a one off $10 administration fee that needs to be paid to Google to set up your account.
- Costs start from as low as $0.01 per click. Costs per click are determined entirely upon how much you wish to pay -or bid for- and how competitive a keyword is.
- For more competitive keywords you may need to pay $10.00 + per click, where as a keyword that has little or no competition may only require a cost per click of $0.01 (this is rare).
- You can also set a daily budget so that your costs do not run out of control. If you set yourself a budget of $10 per day, then once you have reached $10 on any given day then your ad will simply stop appearing.

Why is my Google AdWords Ad no longer showing?

- Your website has adult content and your site has been re categorised as "Adult" so will only show on sites considered Adult based. In an instance like this take a look at your AdWords campaign and if it is still showing as active and your ad does not show up under any of your listed keywords this is something that should be considered. What you consider to be offensive and the criteria around what Google categorise as offensive may vary.
- Your AdWords budget may have been reached for the day.
